Accomplishments.
Mayor Estrada Gets It Done.
-
No One Goes Hungry.
Food insecurity doesn’t have to be a reality for our families. $1 Million were committed to fight hunger. As a result, food giveaways were hosted on a monthly basis and fed thousands of children and seniors. Food baskets included fresh vegetables, poultry and grains to keep families healthy.
-
Housing That Meets Needs.
Mayor Estrada is a champion for housing who continuously advocates for truly affordable housing. He currently serves on the SGV Regional Housing Trust where he has secured million in funding for Baldwin Park and the region. That funding has been invested in family friendly housing as well as units for seniors.
-
Green Spaces for Everyone.
For far too long Baldwin Park has been Park Poor. Emmanuel Estrada is changing that with an ambitious approach. Baldwin Park is on track to build new green spaces for the first time in decades. By leveraging grants , the city has captured funds to acquire new properties and expand current parks.
-
Stable Public Safety.
Baldwin Park’s Police have seen increased stability and support during Mayor Estrada’s tenure. The department now has a long term, and permanent police chief that was hired through a transparent and fair process. Our Police Department has been rebranded and with an investment of $1.5M they have acquired upgraded and up to date tools that are vital to keep the community safe.
-
Saying No to Special Interests.
This is our city. That is why Mayor Estrada passed campaign finance reform. This limits campaign contributions to $750 per individual. Any contractor or operators who contract with the city are barred from contributing to candidates. This not only levels the playing field it minimizes special interest influence on our representatives.
-
Youth, Veterans, & Seniors.
Mayor Estrada prioritizes Family Values and giving back to those who have given to us. This is why he spearheaded efforts to provide subsidized childcare, and free programs for our youth and seniors. Our community now has more access to resources and Veteran groups have also seen support like never before. Over $100K in support have been given to local, veteran organizations.
